The problem

Tracing which finished batches contained a given raw material lot meant reconstructing the chain from paper records, which took days. In a recall scenario that delay is the entire problem.

What we built

We recorded lot numbers at goods receipt and carried them through issue, production and despatch, so any batch can be traced in both directions from one screen.
