Stock-check app for hardware branch staff
Shelf-side stock checking and counting without walking back to a terminal.
- Barcode scanning
- Live stock lookup
- Cycle and full stock counts
- Variance flagging
The problem
Stock counts meant printing sheets, walking the aisles, writing figures and typing them in afterwards. The delay between counting and entering meant the count was already stale, and transcription errors were common.
What we built
We built an Android application that scans an item and shows its live position, and records counts directly against the stock record. Counting happens where the stock is, and the figure entered is the figure counted.
Modules delivered

What changed
What the delivered system does differently from the process it replaced.
