The problem

Availability was a wall planner. Double bookings happened, overdue returns were noticed only when a customer asked for the same item, and damage on return was disputed because nothing recorded the condition at hire.

What we built

We built availability as a calculated position per unit across hire periods, so booking checks real availability rather than a planner. Condition is recorded at hand-over and return, with photographs attached to both.
