Order fulfilment and returns workflow
Picking, packing, despatch and returns as a tracked workflow.
- Pick list generation
- Scan verification at pick and pack
- Despatch and tracking
- Structured returns
The problem
Fulfilment was managed on printed order lists. Mis-picks were common and returns were processed ad hoc with no record of the reason.
What we built
We built fulfilment as a staged workflow with scan verification at pick and pack, and structured returns carrying a reason and a restocking decision.
Modules delivered
- Pick list generation
- Scan verification at pick and pack
- Despatch and tracking
- Structured returns
- Restock or write-off decision
- Return reason analysis
What changed
What the delivered system does differently from the process it replaced.
- Picks are verified by scan rather than by eye
- Returns carry a recorded reason
- Restocking is an explicit decision
