The problem

Appointments were booked into a paper diary per practitioner. Nobody could see across practitioners to offer the earliest slot, and rooms were double-booked when two practitioners needed the same one.

We built scheduling that searches across practitioners for the earliest slot matching the required skill, and reserves the room as part of the same booking.
