Cold storage temperature monitoring with alerting
Continuous temperature logging across storage rooms, with alerts before stock is at risk.
- Continuous sensor collection
- Live room dashboard
- Threshold alerts
- Sensor-offline detection
The problem
Temperatures were checked and logged by hand a few times a day. An excursion overnight was discovered the next morning, by which point the stock decision had already been made for them.
What we built
We collect readings continuously from sensors in each room, show them live, and raise alerts on threshold breach and on a sensor going silent — the second being the failure mode most monitoring misses.
Modules delivered
- Continuous sensor collection
- Live room dashboard
- Threshold alerts
- Sensor-offline detection
- Historical excursion log
- Compliance reporting
What changed
What the delivered system does differently from the process it replaced.
- Excursions raise an alert rather than being found the next morning
- A failed sensor is itself an alert
- The temperature log is a queryable record
Built with
The stack chosen for this build.
