The problem

Output was counted manually and entered at shift end. The figure was often approximate, downtime was not recorded at all, and comparing shifts or lines relied on numbers nobody fully trusted.

What we built

We connected counters on the line to a collection service that records output continuously, and built a dashboard showing live rate, shift totals and stoppages. Stoppages are detected from the absence of counts rather than reported.
